Ah, summertime is here......
hope your living is easy!
Maybe you should go on a picnic?
We have plenty of baskets and supplies
for you here at Feathers and Twigs.....
Or you could just rock awhile
(in this pretty old Amish chair)....
Or this wonderful old mission style one....
We have dug out our
"air conditioning" and are ready
to brave the heat!
Here are few of our latest additions
to help lure you in for a visit -
Want to make some music?
I wish you could have seen the
"before" of this chest -
Lamar worked his magic on it!
Can you tell what this was originally?
What a cool 1961 Air Chief
Complete with all its paperwork.....
A pair of beautiful, clean old chairs....
Such an amazing midcentury sofa.....
Pretty dresser and mirror, freshly painted....
Another pretty, freshly painted piece....
This hall tree made from recycled wood
and an old door is on sale now....
Our good friend Amy, Carol's daughter,
is a published author!
It is beautifully illustrated by local artist,
Seth Fitts, and signed copies
are on sale now ......
And of course we have a new selection
of art that Charlotte brought in....
(watch for her show at the
Cultural Arts Center coming up in July)
And don't forget the Garden Shop
where lots is coming and going too!
Charlsie brought in cute new pillows ....
The big news this weekend is that we are having
Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, June 8th!
Along with the Fabric Peddler and McGee's Bakery,
we want to let you all know how happy
we are that you shop with us.
We will have free hotdogs, treats,
great deals and.........a huge FREE yard sale!
The festivities begin at 10:00, so don't be late!
I suspect that many of you
antique lovers may share my
love and appreciation of
all things old and
history in general.
Here is a link to a really
cool color video of New York City
in the summer of 1939 -
Stay cool and enjoy ...
Hope to see you soon!
I just realized the other day
that with my mother, aka "Granny",
working in the store, my daughter, Jessie,
at the Garden Shop, and my other daughter,
Hannah, at The Vintage Rental Co,
we have three generations working together!
How great is that?
(And we all still like each other!)
